THE COMPANY
Flen is a small business with an historical presence in the telecommunications sector, working with major providers such as ENI.
The business has several Construction sites where businesses such as Snam outsources part of the production process. Flen manages the implementation, installation and maintenance of electrical sites.
Flen chose to just work with multinational companies, that generally have very high standards as per quality requirements. Its founder, Enzo, had previous expertise in building ISO Quality Management Systems, and a deep knowledge of the telecommunications sector.
THE PROBLEM
Flen had several clients requesting him ISO 9001 Certification to be able to apply to his tenders. Yet, the business being quite small means he had no resources to internally allocate to the task.
In February 2025, Flen saw several tenders beginning in March 2025 that had ISO 9001 Certification as a minimum requirement. This was not present in the past applications, and represented a significant opportunity for the Company.
Flen had no choices. He needed to get ISO 9001 Certification, very fast. Yet, most Certification and Audit companies need months to bring him ISO compliant.
THE SOLUTION
Flen was looking for ISO 9001 Certification solutions when then bumped into Complaion.
Complaion provided a two-sided solution, including a dedicated software and an ISO Lead Auditor that took care of all the delicate aspects of the Certification.
Information collection and evidences: Complaion ad-hoc modules helped Flen structure all the requirement information.
Finalizing Quality Management System procedures: Complaion's ISO 9001 Lead Auditor personalized the full Quality Management System to fit Flen’s business.
Running ISO 9001 Audit: finally, Complaion's ISO Lead Auditor ran the Audit in the platform and produced all relevant reporting.
Getting ISO 9001 Certified by SiCert: the business picked an Accredia accredited Certifying body, SiCert, for its third-party Audit.
Combining a proprietary platform with a dedicated ISO Lead Auditor, Complaion served Flen with an all-in-one solution - enabling the business to have the certification being issued in a fast, effortless, yet reliable way.
THE RESULTS
Complaion was able to help Flen apply to tenders also providing a document formally attesting the beginning of the process - and also being certified ahead of the deadline.
For the Company, this meant leveraging ISO Compliance to get business unlocked: compliance that is not a cost center, but a revenue driver.
